Contemporary as it is, one of the hotel’s most memorable features is its history.

The Hotel Victor in South Beach, designed by architecture firm Yabu Pushelberg, beautifully combines glam and casual with all the luxuries to go along. The designers added a contemporary addition to the original 1936 Hotel Victor, with new guest rooms that include balconies. The rooms, designed with a soothing white and light-brown color scheme, have the standard comforts: flat-screen TVs, a full bar, and spacious marble bathrooms, and have an inviting, comfortable vibe. A raw wood panel above the bed invokes perhaps an old American beach house. Simple hardwood furniture enhances the palmy feel, reminding you how close the beach is if you’re not already looking out the window. If omnipresent beach isn’t enough, guests can dip in the second-floor outdoor infinity pool, or visit the 6,000-square-foot underground spa, Spa V. Visitors can dine on sushi prepared by renowned chef Kevin Chun, or explore the surrounding Art Deco district for food, art, and excitement. Contemporary as the new Victor is, one of the hotel’s most memorable features is its history—even after a face-lift, its classic pink neon sign still hums along.
