Perks and Rewards

Our hotel partners appreciate our customers' fascination with design. Because of that, they give them special extras when they stay. Each hotel is different, so each perk is different.
Each hotel keeps a detailed record of the perks that Surface Hotels members get. When you check in, they'll let you know what you're getting. If you have any questions, send us an email: helpdesk@surfacehotels.com.
For every room you book with us, we give you 2.5 percent back--and place it in a rewards account. You can use your rewards toward a future booking with Surface Hotels. Rewards are posted to your account within 30 days following your checkout date.
When you book a hotel on our site, you'll see an option to use your rewards if your rewards balance is at least $50. When you check out of your hotel, you'll be charged in full, but don't worry - we'll send you a check in the mail for the amount of rewards used. Checks are mailed out within 30 days following your checkout date.
Yes, rewards expire 1 year after the date they are earned.

Hotels don't pay a fee to be on Surface Hotels. They're hand-selected and thoroughly vetted by our editors based on a specific set of design and service criteria.
We treat our hotels like partners, not inventory. In return, our hotels give guests who book through Surface special perks. You can expect to receive room upgrades when available, free WiFi, and other extras like complimentary free luxury car access, breakfasts, massages, and much more. We also give you 2.5 percent back on all bookings to use toward your next stay!

Reservations

After you complete the booking process, you'll see an on-screen confirmation. We'll also send a copy of your itinerary to your email account. If you don't think you've received an email, be sure to check your spam filters. While this confirmation is not necessary for check-in, it has helpful information, so we suggest printing it out and placing it in your suitcase.
You can find your upcoming reservations in your Surface Hotels account. Log in to Surface Hotels and then click on "My Account" at the upper right-hand side of your screen (or in the drop down menu if you're searching on your mobile device). You can then select the "My Bookings" option to see your reservations.
Yes, although you may be charged a cancellation fee, depending on the hotel's cancellation policy. Some hotels may have special rules concerning certain rates, so be sure to read and understand a hotel's cancellation policy before you complete your booking. If you have any questions, or if you cannot cancel your reservation online, contact customer service: helpdesk@surfacehotels.com.
If you'd like to change an existing reservation, you must book a new reservation and then cancel the original. Follow these steps:
  1. Make sure you're logged into your account.
  2. Make sure your hotel has availability for your new dates.
  3. Check the cancellation policy to ensure you won't be charged for your cancelled stay.
  4. Create a new reservation.
  5. After you've received confirmation of your new reservation, cancel your old one.
